Hebron Memorial Beach: Hebron Beach permits are now available for purchase at: the Hebron Town Clerk’s office, Tuesdays from 3-8 p.m. or Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. or at The Selectmen’s Office, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon.  The cost is $20.

May 13, 2008: The Hebron Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a meeting and Public Hearings on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Land Use Room in the Selectmen’s office building. The agenda will consist of: 1. Public Hearing concerning a variance to the terms of Article 4. H-1 of the Zoning Ordinance for the as -built 10' by 12' covered porch which replaces the 20' by 20' open deck on Camp Onaway’s building on 217 South Mayhew Turnpike (Map 6 Lot 9 )which is within the road setback. 2. Board only deliberations concerning the administrative appeal of the Planning Board’s decision to deny the proposed site plan of Ridgeway Commons. 3. Continuation of public hearing concerning Thistle Property Holding’s request for a variance to the terms of Articles VI. B 5a and VII. B 9a of the Zoning Ordinance to allow five separate living dwellings to be constructed on Map 5 Lot 5-2 on South Mayhew Turnpike.4. Public Hearing concerning Richard Aho’s request for a variance to the terms of article IV H.1 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow him to build a dwelling on Map 18A-IP-13 on Indian Point which does not meet the road or sideline setbacks. and, 5. Any other business.

May 19, 2008: The Hebron Historic District Commission will hold an Organizational Meeting and Public Hearing on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 7 p.m. on the lower level of the Hebron Selectmen’s Office.  The agenda will consist of : 1) Election of officers for the ensuing year; 2) Hearing on application of David and Anne Hardy for the installation of storm windows and doors on their house at 5 School Street, Hebron, NH ( Map 17 Lot 19); 3) and  any other business.

May 24, 2008: Hebron will be observing the EMS District A-5 EMS Celebration on May 24, 2008 at the Hebron Public Safety Building located on 37 Groton Road, Hebron, NH. Schedule of Events include:  A. 1 PM (13:00) --D-HART to arrive for a demonstration and tour; B. 1: 30 (13:30)-- Blessing of EMS Vehicles by Rev. John Fischer C. 2:00 (14:00) Presentation of Vermont Bears ‘hero’ bear to D A-5 services, D-HART and to Speare Memorial Hospital; D. Mass Casualty Trailer from Plymouth will be present for viewing; and,  E. Area ambulances/rescue services are encouraged to come and to present information about themselves.  A Cookout will be held during the Festivities. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Patti Noyes-Oakley, 744-9468. All are invited to attend.

May 25, 2008: The annual Hebron Beach cleanup is scheduled for Sunday, May 25 at 9 a.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served at lunch time. Rain date is Monday, May 26 at 9 a.m. Please bring a rake with you.

NOTICE TO ALL LAKESIDE PROPERTY OWNERS: Due to the new “Comprehensive Shoreline Protection Act” that took effect April 1, 2008 there are new permits and regulation requirements required by New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services for “Any” construction within 250 feet of Newfound Lake. Before any work is started, property owners need to check with NHDES to see what is required. The above process will need to be completed and all permits and construction maps or plans required by DES must be complied with before submitting any Building Permit Application to the Town of Hebron. 2008 Inventory of Taxable Property: The Town of Hebron is requiring that all landowners fill out a “2008 Inventory of Taxable Property” form for each parcel owned. This is required by NH RSA 74.  Completed forms must be returned to the Hebron Selectmen’s Office on or before April 15th, 2008; otherwise, a penalty will be assessed on your Fall tax bill.

The 2007 Hebron tax rate has been set. The new rate is $7.30.
